It all started way back in 1909, with a man named Michio Suzuki. He was working in a warehouse making looms for Japanese silk. In 1951 the cotton market fell through and Suzuki started seriously thinking about the motorcycle and car market.
One of Suzuki's first creations was a motorized bicycle called the "Power Free". The Japanese Government was so impressed by the "Power Free" that they wanted him to continue his work and gave him a grant. By 1962 Suzuki Motorcycles had won their first 50cc Grand Prix World Championship.
Today Suzuki Motorcycles are one of the most succesful motorcycle brands on the market today. One of their noted motorcycles are the GSX-R (they range in 600cc to 1000cc). Suzuki is also known for their innovation and craftsmanship.
